Former Utah Poet Laureate to Share Reading at Kloefkorn Writers Series

David Lee, Utah’s first poet laureate, will deliver the second annual lecture of the William C. Kloefkorn Nebraska Writers Series.

The lecture will be held Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m. in Callen Conference Center, located in the lower level of the Smith-Curtis Administration Building.

New State Poet to Deliver Inaugural William Kloefkorn Nebraska Writers Series Lecture

Fulbright Grant Will Send English Professor to India

A �ǲ��app English professor has been awarded a Fulbright Specialists Grant to teach in India next fall.

Gerise Herndon, Professor of English, Director of the Gender Studies Program, and the University’s Fulbright Program Advisor, will spend six weeks at Banaras Hindu University where she will teach feminist theories, multiculturalism and identity politics.

Recording Preserves Voice of Nebraska State Poet William Kloefkorn

William Kloefkorn died on May 19, 2011. Kloefkorn taught English at �ǲ��app for 40 years and served as Nebraska state poet for 29. In that time, the depth of his voice, kindness and poetry touched thousands of people.
